Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona
For this year's Rolex Grand-Am 24 Hours of Daytona, Steve Marcus brought his BMW to the track with hopes for a strong finish. Steve really hired an incredible group of drivers and crew for what is one of the most famous races in the world. We're talking guys like Justin Bell, Kyle Petty, Johannes vanOverbeck out there with factory teams from Ferrari and Porsche. Steve's BMW was the only BMW in the field, so the pressure was really on. It's a long race and even Daytona gets cold at night. When it was all over, the team from Marcus Motorsports had an impressive 6th in class and 13th overall finish against cars that were much faster and supported by far bigger budgets. It was really fun to be a (small) part of it.
